Health Insurance Coverage for your Employees
We are pleased to announce the inclusion of our Approved Schools faculty and staff in the same great AMMA/Insurance Advisors, Inc. health insurance plan that is offered to our individual AMMA members!
Once you have become an Approved School of the AMMA, you may fill out the School/Organization Health Insurance Application. Upon completion, we will generate school specific Quote Forms so your employees can begin the process of getting the health insurance coverage that they and their families deserve. Professional Liability Insurance
This $1 million/incident, $3 million aggregate policy is Occurrence-Based; which means that it covers incidents when they occur during the policy period, even if you no longer hold a policy under this plan.
Why does your school need liability Insurance?
To shield your school's corporate assets. Without General and Professional Liability insurance protection, a claim filed against the school could result in thousands of dollars in legal cost just to defend against the charges. If the outcome of the lawsuit is a ruling in favor of the claimant, you could lose all your business assets and perhaps even face the loss of future income.
When is the school protected?
This policy will provide coverage for the school itself, for the school programs and its related activities. This covers activities on school grounds, massage-related clinics, internships, volunteer events, or other off-site practice skill training activities which are approved by the school. The coverage is for the school's directors, officers and employees in connection with their school program massage-related duties and activities. This policy covers bodily injury, personal injury, or property damage as defined in the policy, as long as none such activities are not against any local, state or federal law.
Who is not covered under the School Membership?
Students themselves are not covered by the School Membership Liability Insurance. The students should become members of the AMMA with Student Membership status which will give them their own liability insurance protection policy.
We also suggest that school instructors become Professional Members of the AMMA to obtain their own liability insurance policy to protect themselves if they are ever named individually or jointly as a co-defendant in any claim filed against either themselves or the school. If you have five (5) or more instructors that join the AMMA as Professional Members for their own personal liability insurance policy, the AMMA will discount each individual's policy by $50 each.
